The Department of Respiratory Medicine, Sri Lalithambigai Medical College and Hospital (SLMCH), conducted a Public Awareness Program on the occasion of World Asthma Day 2025. The event took place on 8th May 2025 at the SLMCH Lobby, Ground Floor, starting from 11:00 a.m. onwards.

The theme of the event was “Make Inhaled Treatments Accessible for All”, focusing on the importance of accessible asthma care and the effective use of inhaled therapies in asthma management.

The awareness program included informative sessions for patients, caregivers, and the general public. Educational materials were distributed, and respiratory health professionals provided guidance on asthma prevention, triggers, and treatment options.

The department thanks all participants and staff for their enthusiastic involvement in making the event impactful and informative.
