On every 25th September our Honorable Chairman Dr.A.C.Shanmugam sir’s birthday is celebrayed with great splendor at Sri Lalithambigai Medical College and Hospital. He is the Founder Chancellor of Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. To mark our beloved Chairman’s birthday, a blood donation was held on 23.09.2021 under supervision of department of Pathology by the doctors Professor and HOD, Dr. Sithy Athiya Munavarah, Dr.Jackqueline Assistant Professor and Dr.SwathiSridharan, Senior Resident. Sri Lalithambigai Blood Centre was approved by the State Government.
The license number of the Blood Centre was 484128C. This Blood Centre has an efficient quality control team to validate the testing process and the blood components processed over the blood to ensure the over all safety for patients. This Institution encourages voluntary Blood Donation to achieve hundred percent safe blood transfusion, since regularly blood donors are screened for infectious disease markers such as anti HV and HCV, and anti HbsAG, Syphills and Malaria there by preventing the risk of transfusion transmissible infections There were many enthusiastic voluntary blood donations. Around ten donors donated their blood towards the noble cause.
